We are a parish that embraces and promotes the stewardship way of life as exemplified by Jesus Christ. We seek to grow in gratitude for our abundant blessings, to challenge ourselves to stretch beyond what is comfortable, and to sacrifice. We share our presence, our prayers, our gifts and our service to continue Christ’s mission of transforming the world one person at a time.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SERVING AT MASS?
Our beautiful liturgical celebrations are the result of a team effort from Ushers and Greeters to Readers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers and those who want to assist "Behind-the-Scenes," there are countless opportunities for any of our community members to participate. Please fill out the following form if you are interested in assisting with the mass in some capacity.

FOOD FOR OUR JOURNEY
On the first and third Sunday of each month, this ministry prepares a lunch for the homeless of Birmingham. Volunteers are needed to donate the food for the meal (as well as serving containers, cutlery and water) and portion it into takeout containers.

WEEKENDER BACKPACKER
This ministry helps to feed food-insecure middle school students over the weekends when they do not have access to school meals. We currently serve Simmons Middle School in Hoover, Fairfield School, and Holy Family Catholic School in the City of Birmingham.

HEARTS AND HAMMERS
Are you looking for a way to live out your faith in a tangible and meaningful way?  We are forming a new ministry to help those in need within our parish and community with minor home repairs and construction needs, i.e. ramps. Whether you are skilled in carpentry, plumbing, painting, or simply willing to lend a helping hand, there is a place for you.

CARING NEEDLES
This ministry meets every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm to create handmade prayer shawls, lap blankets, baby items, scarves, and hats that are donated to parishioners and community organizations. They also pray for ill parishioners.

CURB APPEAL
This ministry offers hands-on as well as advisory support to maintain the parish grounds.

MEAL MINISTRY
This Prince of Peace ministry assists POP staff in setting up Deasy Hall, as well as plating and serving lunch to the POP Minus One and Seniors Bingo groups, which occurs on the second and third Wednesdays of the month.  Additionally, we will also need help setting up and serving for the Wednesday Family Life Dinners.
